Reprised

Data Sources & Acknowledgements

Last updated: September 2026

Reprised brings together music information from many sources to help you discover, log, and learn about music. We use official APIs where they are available, credit each source, and link back to the original whenever possible. Album artwork, cover art, trademarks, review text, lyrics, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification, commentary, and informational purposes.

Sources we use

AI-assisted writing

The background material in Reprised — album overviews, lore and secrets, lyricism notes, and composition and production analysis — is drawn from published sources: press coverage, reference works, and the outlets listed above. AI is used to summarise and write that material up, working from retrieved sources rather than from memory; the models are provided by Anthropic. It is not used to invent facts.

It is offered as background and commentary. Sources vary in depth, so if you spot something inaccurate, use Report album data in the album menu and we will correct it.

Reviews, ratings, lists and comments are never AI-generated. Those are written by members, and anything attributed to a person was written by that person.

Trademarks & ownership

All product names, logos, brands, trademarks, artwork, and review text are the property of their respective owners. Use of these names and materials does not imply endorsement. Reprised is an independent application and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of the sources listed above.

Audio

Every audio clip in Reprised is a 30-second preview supplied by Apple's iTunes Search API and streamed from Apple's own servers. We do not host, copy, mirror or re-encode audio, and the app has no way to save, convert, download or export it. Each album links out to Apple Music.

How we use published reviews

Reprised shows a short excerpt from published album reviews, always credited to the publication, usually naming the reviewer, and always linked to the full review on the publisher's own site. Excerpts average around 14 words and never exceed 30. We take them from the search-result summary each publisher supplies for their page — the text written to be shown by search engines and other services — and we do not fetch, scrape or reproduce the article itself. Our aim is to send readers to the original, and every card carries a Read full review link that does exactly that.

Rights holders

If you publish or create work that appears in Reprised and you would prefer it did not, email support@reprised.app and tell us what to remove. Requests are honoured on receipt, not negotiated.

We aim to confirm within one business day, and we will tell you specifically what was removed rather than sending an acknowledgement. If you later change your mind, removals are reversible — write to the same address.

Contact

If you own content shown in Reprised and have a question or request, contact us at support@reprised.app and we will respond promptly.
